Returns
Our Returns Policy
Because ARGILE paints are mixed or tinted specifically according to the colour selected by the customer, custom-tinted and made-to-order paint is generally non-returnable simply because the customer has changed their mind, where the applicable legal exception for goods made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised applies.
This does not affect your statutory rights if a Product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied, not as described or otherwise does not conform to the contract.
Our Terms & Conditions explain your statutory rights in more detail.
Before You Order
We strongly recommend ordering a sample before purchasing larger quantities, particularly where colour accuracy is important.
Colours displayed on screens and digital devices may vary from the actual paint colour. Lighting, surrounding colours, the substrate, application method and finish can also affect how a colour appears.
Customers should therefore check their chosen colour, Product, finish and quantity before placing an order and, where appropriate, test the colour in the intended location before applying larger quantities.
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products
If your order arrives damaged, you receive the wrong Product, or you believe a Product is faulty or does not conform to the contract, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at london@argile-peinture.com. Please provide your order number and details of the issue.
We may reasonably request photographs, batch numbers, samples or other relevant information to allow us to investigate the issue properly. For paint or coating performance concerns, we may also request information about the substrate, preparation, primer or undercoat, application method, dilution and site conditions.
Where appropriate, we may also ask you to provide a sample of the Product or affected material so that the issue can be assessed.
We will investigate the reported issue and, where the Product does not conform to the contract, provide the remedy to which you are entitled under applicable law. This may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund, depending on the circumstances.
Returns Procedure
Please contact ARGILE before returning any Product. Please provide:
- Your order number
- The Product concerned
- Details of the reason for the proposed return
- Photographs or other information where relevant
Products should not be returned without prior agreement from ARGILE, as we may need to provide specific return instructions. If a return is agreed, we will confirm where and how the Product should be returned.
Made-to-Order and Custom-Tinted Paint
ARGILE paints may be mixed or tinted specifically according to the colour selected by the Customer. Where a Product is genuinely made to the Customer's specifications or is clearly personalised, the statutory right to cancel a distance contract simply because the Customer has changed their mind may not apply.
This does not affect statutory rights where a Product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied, not as described or otherwise does not conform to the contract.
Trade and Commercial Orders
For trade and commercial customers, specially tinted or made-to-order paint is generally non-returnable unless the Product is faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied by ARGILE, subject to any applicable contractual or statutory rights.
Exchanges
We do not generally offer exchanges of custom-tinted or made-to-order paint. If you believe that a Product is faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, please contact us before returning it so that we can investigate and advise you on the appropriate remedy.
Refunds
Where a refund is due, ARGILE will process the refund in accordance with the applicable statutory requirements and the circumstances of the return. Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method.
Where a consumer has a statutory right to cancel and has validly exercised that right, applicable UK consumer law governs the timing and amount of the refund, including any permitted deductions or delivery-cost rules.
Nothing in this Returns Policy limits or excludes any statutory rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
